As much as I would love to say these photos were taken in the wild I would only be lying to myself and you guys These were taken at Stonham Barns Owl Sanctuary in Suffolk where I got a chance to work with these beautiful birds up close.
This was my 3rd time shooting a wedding at Ravenwood Hall in Bury St Edmunds. I must say it is a beautiful location. Dan and Lindsay decided to married on the 23rd December so it was very festive with the christmas tree up and the music playing, it was delightful!
Here are a few photos of Dan and Lindsay’s wedding album, I must say Folio albums have done another wonderful job, I just can’t believe the quality of these products. They really complete the package and bring my photographs to life, much better than a disc I would also just like to say a special thank you to Dan & Lindsay for choosing me to photograph there special day!
I recently travelled up to Scotland to spend Christmas and New Years with my girlfriend and friends. This was my first time visiting Scotland, it’s a beautiful country with snow topped mountains and fresh water streams running everywhere. We were staying in a little village called Luss which is right next to Loch Lomond. Unfortunately the rain was relentless but I managed to get out of the lodge a few times
Something new for me. I was asked to produce a video of an Acrylicon floor being installed. It was a challenging task as I didn’t know what to expect and to capture the workers without getting in the way was also a little tricky. The aim of the video was to clearly show the process of the installation.
Client: Acrylicon, Adam Clements
Testimonial: Louis, that is absolutely A1! Perfect.
I recently shot the world’s largest poster measuring a whopping 58.87 meters wide by 54.94 meters high and weighing in at approximately 1.4 metric tonnes! You can see the project from start to finish on Macroart’s site here
Here’s a video featuring some of my filming…
Monster trucks live pretty much says it all, but that wasn’t the only thing on offer, FMX, (guys that do huge and insane stunts on a motorbike) muscles cars, hot rods, as well as the Batmobile and the DeLorean. Daft Vader and Kieth Lemon also made an appearance so there was plenty going on! I was commissioned by Monstertruckslive.net to produce two videos, one showing the event and one getting amongst the action..Let me know which is your favourite? The show will return in 2014 and it is definitely not to be missed. Thanks to all the guys at the show including the drivers, riders, organisers and especially assistants, Chris Allen and Tony Ellis! Enjoy!
I am very happy to see my video make the GoPro Video of the day, fetching over 23,000 views in two days. What a result!
“Never have I seen a sunset like this one.” Me & my girlfriend recently just got back from a camping holiday in Cornwall and the views were pretty spectacular. I can’t really explain how beautiful cornwall is, so I managed to get the camera out a few times which hopefully does it some justice. I also got to try out surfing for the first time and I think It’s fair to say, I’m hooked. I can’t wait to go again…
By the way, the colours you see here are real. Breath taking.
I recently photographed Kierra & Chris at Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds for their engagement. It was great fun!
I recently put together this video including the tow to toe introduction animation using after effects and premiere pro. This was one of the wakeboard stops of the tow to toe series at Hannam’s Wake Hub.
I was recently commissioned to produce some tutorials for TTP Labtech based in Cambridge – They supply high-speed automated compound storage and retrieval systems, nanoliter liquid handling technologies and fluorescence detection instrumentation.
They wanted some professional and clean tutorials for some basic actions that are carried out with the machine.
Here were the results…
I’m always amazed at how far technology has come and what it has made possible. Not even 4 years ago would angles like this be possible without spending thousands upon thousands of pounds. Here’s a video I recently shot in 15 minutes and chucked together, no story or meaning…It was shot with a quadcopter called the phantom , anyone looking into aerial photography, this is perfect. It also had the Zenmuse gimble attached! I just wanted to show impossible shots that are now possible. A new dimension to film making…Combined this with traditional video skills will equal incredible results and I can’t wait!
Thanks to Hannam’s Wake Hub for the location and Joel of course!
Music: Of Porcelain – Signal The Captain
I was recently at the cable wakeboard nationals, where the best in the country were battling it out for the UK title. There was a great atmosphere so I decided to shoot…
Wow. Having owned my quadcopter for nearly two years now, I can honestly say they have advanced some what (apart from the flying cat quadcopter) I can see these great little machines not just being used for media, but for building, lifting, you name it, they have so much potential. What will the future hold? Check out the video below and let me know what you think?
I recently headed up to Santa Pod raceway where they were holding X Fest, X Fest held a number of comps for amateur and pros across BMX, scooters, in-line skate and skateboards. Not to mention live music, jet cars, stunt bikers and monster trucks…I was working for Scoot mag documenting the day as it happened, capturing all of the action.
I’ve been getting lots of different dogs in the studio which has been awesome! Here’s two of my favourites…
It was a pleasure filming this and although very rushed and unorganised, the final video came out pretty good. It was the first time I have flown in the dark so it was all new to me (I learnt flying into the light wasn’t a good idea). I knew that the pool gap would be ideal for the quadcopter as you can get so close. I can’t wait to shoot some more at Hannam’s Wake Hub!
This was commissioned for Hybridwake.com, go check them out!
