Wolfson College – 60th Anniversary Giving Day Film Series

Celebrating 60 years of progress, diversity and community.

The Brief

Wolfson College approached me to help bring their Giving Day campaign to life through film — a project that would both celebrate the College’s 60-year history and inspire the next generation of support.

The goal was to create a unified video series that would capture Wolfson’s inclusive ethos, showcase its vibrant community, and encourage donations to key funds supporting students, sustainability, and campus life.

The Challenge

We needed to deliver multiple videos, each with its own message and audience, while maintaining a consistent tone and visual style.

The series had to balance heritage and modernity — honouring Wolfson’s legacy as one of Cambridge’s most progressive colleges, while looking confidently toward the future.
And with the Giving Day running online, every video had to connect emotionally and perform digitally across web and social channels.

The Approach

Together, we designed a cohesive creative concept built around the theme “Ring True to You” — highlighting Wolfson’s founding values and the individuals who embody them today.

The campaign included:

  • Launch Film – Announcing the 60th anniversary and Giving Day, weaving together Wolfson’s history and future through cinematic campus imagery and personal reflections.

  • Website Film – A welcoming overview introducing the Giving Day, featuring the President, Development Director and students.

  • Thank You Film – A heartfelt post-event message celebrating donor generosity.

  • Three Fund Campaign Films – Focused on specific fundraising areas: Student Experience, Sustainability, and General Fund, each told through student and staff testimonials.

Filming took place over three days, capturing interviews, b-roll, and campus visuals across gardens, the library, and student spaces. Drone footage and dynamic campus shots gave the films energy and context, replacing the need for archival material.

The Result

The campaign successfully unified Wolfson’s message across all Giving Day platforms — from the College website to social media and email. Each film reinforced the spirit of community and progress that defines Wolfson College.

£116,000 raised.
464 donors.

Every project is an opportunity to tell a story that matters — to move people, not just inform them. This campaign was a privilege to produce, not only because of Wolfson’s history, but because of what it represents: a college built on openness, equality, and shared opportunity. Through these films, we captured that spirit — from the quiet spaces of study to the shared vision of a future that continues to ring true.
